It's the holiday season and I want to wish all my friends and family health and happiness for the New Year.

Steve Vance turned 96 this last October and is still active in curling and other activities. With this blog I want to create an opportunity for his friends and family to comment. I called it Vance Family History because I expect that most of the comments will be about family history. Genealogy is not my field so I don't expect to contribute much, however I have pictures to share and hopefully others will as well.

In 1985 Steve sent me a cassette tape about family history, which I typed out at that time. There is a lot of material on it, and I will re-type it, rather than scan it, but eventually I'll put it up on his website at www.stevevance.ca

I did Steve's website about a year ago and still have a lot of work to do. I received a number of emails from family members and I'll go over these comments.
